A bilingual performer, director and producer. Scheherazade started performing in television at a young age, to later be part of Venezuela’s professional original casts of Fiddler on the Roof, The Producers and the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar.
As a performer based in New York City, Scheherazade has been part of the Spanish premiere of In The Heights in the US playing Daniela, role for which she received a BroadwayWorld and Helen Hayes award nominations. In New York she’s been part of the English premiere of Luces de Bohemia (Bohemian Lights) at Off-Broadway's HERE Arts Center, In The Heights (John W. Engeman Theatre), Sweeney Todd (Frederick Loewe Theatre), and Civilization! (45Bleecker Theatre). Scheherazade's original one-act musical Pret-a-Morté (co-written with her sister, Selene Quiroga, and featuring music by Selene Quiroga and Santos Palazzi) was part of Miami's Micro Theatre premiere musical theatre season, and was part of New York City's Micro Theatre at Teatro SEA. It garnered nominations as Best Musical for the Latin ACE Awards and ATI Awards, as well as nominations for Scheherazade as Best Actress and Best Director.
Scheherazade received her Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance from New York University. She has trained extensively in Classical Voice and Musical Theatre, and alongside renowned acting instructors. She also loves to work behind the scenes, which is why she holds a Master’s in Television from Boston University and a Bachelor’s in Communication, Journalism and TV Production.
She is the Director of Auditions and Media at Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City, NYC's elite training program for young performers, where she is also a faculty member and private coach. As such, she travels the US auditioning young performers, and as guest adjudicator in events including the Classical Singer Convention (MT Division) and the Steinway and Sons' Broadway Rising Star competition.
She enjoys working with young and adult performers alike, those entering the NYC industry for the first time, or applying for performing arts programs in Colleges and Universities in the US. Scheherazade's students can be seen on Broadway (The Lion King, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), National Tours (The Lion King, Annie, A Christmas Story, Rent), TV and Film and numerous Regional and International Theatre productions.

No one can be you better than you.
As a performer each one of us is unique. As such, your individual perspective on a character, and his/her words and lyrics is what people want to see, and makes you great at what you do.
A performer is one of the final pieces in the work many others have already started to build. The answers to guide your journey are on the page and in the sheet music you look to perform: the words, punctuation, shapes, as well as the knowledge you have on its authors, composers, the work itself and its performance. How do you relate to them? What does these words and melodies mean to you? What images do they ignite?
Alongside a healthy technique that will allow you to perform for as long as you want, we’ll work together in understanding each piece and making them your very own.
A good coach is one that excites you about your work and materials, one capable of creating a safe, respectful and fun space to which you are always eager to come or return. I work to be that for each of my students.
